Devotional – A Pure Heart
Take the Nations family!
The last few months, The Lord has been speaking to Evangelist Daniel about a Pure Heart. Matthew 5:8 tells us, “Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.” It is important to keep our hearts pure and to guard them above anything else! Proverbs 4:20-23 says, “Pay attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh.” Then it goes on to tell us, that we need to keep and guard our heart with all diligence because out of the heart flows all the issues of life. You are the keeper and the guardian of your heart. Do not allow anything that can contaminate your life, into your heart! When we allow things that are not from God into our heart, it can take root and flow into every are of our lives. Fill yourself with the Word and the presence of God, meditating on the Word day and night.
Psalm 119:11 says, ” Thy word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against you.” Renew your mind with the washing of the Word and bring your thought life into submission to what the Word says. In Psalms 51:10-12, David says to The Lord, ” Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a right, persevering, and steadfast spirit within me. Cast me not away from Your presence and take not Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and uphold me with a willing spirit.” Ask The Lord, this week, to search your heart and reveal anything that is not of Him.
