Devotional – Seek First The Kingdom

Hello to our wonderful Take the Nations family! We pray you are well and that The Lord continues to bless and prosper you! Matthew 6:33 says, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” In the verses leading up to this, we are given examples of: not worrying about what we should eat or drink, not laying up for ourselves treasures on earth that can be corrupted, and to consider that the birds do not sow nor reap nor gather into barns, yet God takes care of them. When we have our focus on seeking the Kingdom, and His righteousness, we can stand on the promise that these things will be added unto us!
When our focus is on expanding the kingdom of God, when it is about souls, we can know that God will add “these things” unto us! Not just take care of our basic needs, He will prosper us! When God told Abraham in Genesis 12, ” I will bless you (abundantly), and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing.” He did not say it and then not fulfill His Word. He said it, and then He did it! The Lord wants to bless you! He wants you to prosper! If you want to give to someone, you cannot give more than you have. You cannot bless others if you have not been blessed yourself! When we prosper, we can be a sign and a wonder to the world, that God keeps His promises. Not only does He heal. Not only does He set free. He also blesses and prospers! The same way He prospered Joseph, Abraham, and many others throughout The Bible; He will do so with YOU! Job 36:11 says, “If they obey and serve Him, they shall spend their days in prosperity and their years in pleasantness and joy!” Do only what God says in His word, and you will live in abundance! You will be a sign and a wonder to everyone who sees you, a blessing to many, and a testimony of the promises of God!
The rest of 2023 will be your best months yet! We are trusting and praying that God increases every area of your life! Thank you to all of you who are supporting us so that we can go after the harvest like never before. We are so grateful for our Take the Nations family and know we are praying for you! With love, Daniel, Bea and the Take The Nations Team
