JESUS CAMPAIGNS

Mpatamatu, Zambia, 7-10 October 2021

Jesus March & Night 1
Our first night begins with the Jesus March!

The first night of our Jesus Campaign in Mpatamatu approaches, and we make our way to the local community for our Jesus March. During the parade, we have an amazing marching band, huge banners, our Zambian ushers and volunteers, as well as our Take the Nations team. This is the time where we go into the community to finalize our advertising by handing out pamphlets to those who are in the streets, and to get everyone excited about the coming Jesus Campaign. During the Jesus March, it is such an amazing time and opportunity to take the ground for Jesus as everywhere we set our feet, we believe it is Kingdom ground. (Joshua 1:3). We got the opportunity to minister to those who came to see what the Jesus March was all about, as well as invite thousands to come and hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ preached. We use this Jesus March as an opportunity to stir up expectancy and hunger in the hearts of the people. Then they come to the event hungry and ready for a touch from God.

NIGHT 1

The first night of the Campaign is always filled with so much excitement and expectancy to see heaven invade and manifest on the earth (Matthew 6:10). For those of you who don’t know, Mpatamatu has never had a mass-Campaign or event like this. We were here to break ground and to set the stage for what God wants to do in the region. Although we tend not to focus too much on the opposition, we knew we had entered tough ground, and we were ready to destroy the works of the enemy with the power of the Holy Spirit.

Bea du Toit released a powerful Word of the Lord over Mpatamatu, Luanshya, and we could sense that this was exactly what the Lord was about to do in that place. She shared the Word from Isaiah 60: “Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you.” What a hope we have to hold onto! We can know that the Glory of God will be seen in and amongst His people! Hallelujah.

Daniel du Toit preached the simple Gospel on the first night, knowing that many in attendance needed to surrender their lives to Jesus Christ. He preached from Romans 10:13 – “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” What Good News we have to share, that this Gospel, has been made available to everyone. No more is salvation only accessible to one people group, but God “so loved the world” (John 3:16), now this message of salvation is accessible to everyone who believes in Jesus! We saw 7115 people give their lives to Jesus on the first night. What a privilege it is to share Jesus with the lost and broken.

Our first night begins with the Jesus March!
PASTORS' CONFERENCE | Day 1

A big part of our Jesus Campaigns mission is our Pastors’ Conferences, where we get the opportunity to train and equip the pastors and leaders in the local community. Our goal is to go into the various regions, bring revival and awakening to the people, but also equip the local pastors to run with the fire and continue to burn for Jesus like never before.

On the first day of the Pastors’ Conference, Pastor Mirek Hufton from World Harvest Church in Atlanta, Georgia, ministered a powerful Word to the leaders. Ps. Mirek taught from John 7:38 – “He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” What a powerful time where God was removing blockages to the flow of His River from within. As Ps. Mirek said, “Today, there’s going to be some unstopping of wells,” which brings fullness of joy and liberty. We saw how God was refreshing the leaders and also stirring up a fresh hunger in their hearts. May they never be the same again! Hallelujah!

Juan Thompson also had an opportunity to teach and equip the pastors and release a fresh Word of the Lord over the region. Juan taught from Colossians 1:27: “To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” What a powerful revelation to know that the Anointed One lives inside of us, as Believers. Not only that, but His Presence within, is a hope and expectation of the Glory which is about to be revealed in and through us. (Romans 8:18)

NIGHT 2
THE LIGHT SHINES BRIGHTEST IN THE DARK

Campaigns and mass-evangelism events don’t come without their challenges. On the way to our second night of our Jesus Campaign in Mpatamatu, Luanshya, we got news that there was a nationwide power outage. We praise God that we had hired a generator set, in case of emergencies, although this back-up plan was not enough to power all of our speakers and lights. As Daniel du Toit said, “…Although we had no power, God’s power showed up.” Many signs, wonders and miracles were seen that night as the power of God truly showed up despite our challenges.

On the second night, Daniel du Toit preached from Luke 8:43-48, about the woman with the issue of blood. “Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any, came from behind and touched the border of His garment. And immediately her flow of blood stopped.” Daniel spoke about the desperation of the woman to push her way through the masses of people, just to get one touch of Jesus’ garment. This powerful message stirred the people up, as Daniel used a practical demonstration with the Take the Nations team, to show how her faith to grab hold of Jesus, caused her to be healed. We know that this night, the gift of faith came upon Daniel, the team, and was released over the people of Mpatamatu to trust God to bring healing to their bodies and their community.

PASTORS' CONFERENCE | DAY 2

The Pastors’ Conference is such an important part of our mission because once our Jesus Campaign is over, it is up to the local pastors to shepherd the flock. That is why we take the time out to train and equip the leaders in the area. The second day of our Pastors’ Conference was a powerful service where we saw the consecration of the local leaders, giving their lives fully to the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus. Many came forward to re-dedicate their lives fully to the Lord, to give it all to Him. The two sessions were for a re-kindling of the fire of God, as well as an impartation time for the pastors and leaders to receive a fresh touch of God.

Pastor Mirek Hufton from World Harvest Church in Atlanta, Georgia, took the first session. He spoke on John 12:24 – “Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.” Ps. Mirek taught a powerful message about how our lives are seeds, and how the Kingdom of God is like a paradox. “To increase, you must give. To live fully, you must die. If you love your life, lose it. You cannot grow by keeping or holding on. You cannot become powerful and influential by trying to gather and conserve resources. You must sow your life. Die to what you want and surrender everything to Him.” This incredible message was followed by an alter call for those who felt they wanted to consecrate their lives, and fully surrender everything of themselves to God. This was truly a life-changing encounter for all the pastors and leaders.

Daniel du Toit took the second session to speak about how we desperately need a touch from God. “For God to use you, for Him to work through you, He needs to do a work in you first. He needs to touch you first.” Daniel continued to stir up the hearts of the pastors by encouraging them to come hungry to receive from God. “He can’t fill you with Himself, if you are already filled with your own things. You need to come empty. You need to come broken. You need to come hungry and cry out!” This is the passion and zeal with which we are supposed to run the race, a complete dependency and desperation for God at all times. We can do nothing without Him (John 15:5). Daniel preached from Matthew 18:3 – “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.” This message further emphasised the necessity to become like children, “sponges”, who are so humble, teachable and ready to receive from their Father.

Leading from this session, we went into a time of impartation for those who wanted to receive a fresh touch from God. Many pastors, elders, deacons, and even the ushers, came forward and encountered the fire of God. From that day on, many of their lives were marked and changed by these powerful God-encounters.

Although this night brought about many miracles and faith was activated in their hearts, many more still responded to the call to surrender their lives and become children of God that night. From our records of decision cards, there were 8945 documented decisions made for Jesus Christ on the second night. We praise God for the capacity to keep track of the precious ones who give their lives to God, and to open the door for them to be discipled and trained by the local pastors and churches in their regions. Hallelujah!

NIGHT 3
"Just one drop of the blood of JESUS"

We had learnt our lesson regarding the nationwide power outages that were happening and hired 2 more generator sets to power all of our sound and our lights. Praise God for His wisdom and provision to make this happen. Our third and fourth nights were all powered by our generator sets and we had no more electrical issues.

The third night of our Jesus Campaign was a powerful time where we saw the Blood of Jesus Christ cover the people and the region. That night, Daniel spoke about the importance of applying the blood of Jesus to yourself. He preach from 1 Peter 18-19 – “For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value. It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God.” and from Isaiah 1:18 – “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.” When the Blood of Jesus Christ is preached, the curses are broken over the people. That night, we saw the curse of poverty, depression, suicide, prostitution, addiction, witchcraft, and many more broken. We could sense that the power of the Gospel message was setting people free as they embraced and believed in the powerful blood of Jesus Christ.

We are so passionate about the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus for the salvation of souls. Although there are many notable signs, wonders and miracles taking place, we sense the importance and urgency to lead people to Christ. Every night thus far, we had seen an increase of salvations, and on the third night there were a total of 11004 people who surrendered their lives to Jesus. This is the total number who were then taken aside to fill out decision cards and speak to our Zambian Counselling team to ensure they can be contacted once the Jesus Campaign is completed. We take this job very seriously, as we understand the importance of a good follow-up system. We believe strongly that although many look to the numbers of the crowds, each soul is very precious to the Lord, and we want to ensure the proper discipleship and mentoring of each individual.

Team Ministry | Sunday Morning

The morning before our final Jesus Campaign night, our Take the Nations team went to minister at the local churches in the region. On Sunday morning, 26 of our awesome team members went to various churches to minister and preach what God had placed on their hearts for their specific congregation assigned. We love to grant this opportunity to our mission team members to step out of the boat and see what God wants to do through their lives. Although it seemed daunting to a few, they were all brave enough and took the step of faith. We had such amazing testimonies coming from these meetings. Salvations, signs, wonders, and miracles took place all over, as the Holy Spirit showed up and did what only He could do. We are so incredibly proud and grateful for our Mpatamatu Jesus Campaign missions team. They truly were all God-sent, and we thank each and every one of them for their obedience and willingness to say “Yes!”, to the call upon their lives. As many stepped out, they experienced what is said in Luke 12:12 – “For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.” Sometimes we simply need to take the step of faith, and God will do the rest.

NIGHT 4 | Final Night
"YOU WILL BURN WITH THE FIRE OF GOD"

The fourth and final night, Daniel du Toit spoke about the necessity to burn with the fire of God. We cannot be satisfied by religion, simply going to church, or doing things our own way, we need the fire of God, “because the fire of God will burn everything out, that isn’t of God.” Daniel emphasised that we need to burn for Jesus. Everywhere that we go, when we wake up, when we go to sleep, it must all be about Jesus. This final night was intended to stir up a fresh hunger in the people’s hearts, to yearn for one thing, Jesus Christ Himself. “You need to get hungry, you need to get thirsty.” As it says in Matthew 5:6 – “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.” Daniel preached from Genesis 32:22-32, about Jacob when he wrestled with God. He said, “God will touch you, and when He touches you, you can’t walk the same as you did before!” What a powerful message! One touch from God will change you forever. You will be completely different than you were before. The old is completely passed away, and all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).

On that night, we saw the people encounter the fire of God like never before. The fire of God was poured out on the people, and those who were oppressed of the devil were completely set free. The fire of God truly burnt up everything that was not of Him. He is the one who cleanses and purifies us. How we desperately need His fire to change us!

The final night of our Jesus Campaigns are always the largest. We saw the biggest crowd gather for the fourth night and we had an incredible 16114 souls saved for Jesus Christ. To put that into perspective, that is more than double the harvest from the first night. God is always so faithful to bring the people to these events to encounter them with His love and to change their lives forever. All of these decisions for Christ will now be contacted and placed within a local church in their vicinity to be discipled by one of the local Zambian pastors. We work with thousands of local pastors in the areas to ensure these new Believers get taken care of.

We had an amazing 4 days of the Jesus Campaign in Mpatamatu, Zambia where we saw thousands give their lives to Jesus. We are so thankful to God for His faithfulness to bring in this incredible harvest. In total, we saw 43178 souls saved during our Mpatamatu Jesus Campaign 2021. Hallelujah!

DEaf and mute boy healed!

During the Jesus Campaigns, we see many signs, wonders, and miracles take place over the course of the 4 day event. On the final night, this precious boy came up to share his testimony of healing. At first, there was a slight misunderstanding, as he still couldn’t explain himself well to our Campaign director. Bishop Deouse Kanyanta, our Africa Director, cleverly asked the boy his name without him being able to read his lips (the boy was deaf and could lip read). At once, the boy loudly stated his name in the microphone! He heard and understood what was being asked and could verbally communicate for the first time in his life! Hallelujah! Jesus is truly the Healer and we give Him all the glory for what He has done in this boy’s life!

God continues to exceed our every expectation and we are so excited for what He is about to do through Take the Nations. We know that since the beginning of Take the Nations, we have mostly been doing ministry and outreach in Zambia, since this is the place where God first sent Daniel. We love the nation of Zambia, and our ministry work there will continue and expand throughout the coming years. Although this has been our primary focus, our vision is for the nations. We are praying and asking the Lord to highlight where He wants us to go next and we trust that He will speak to us clearly. Pray and stand with us as we expand into more nations. God is on the move and we are so grateful to be working with Him for His glory.
